IST Computer Lab and IST Hardware Lab
The Information Sciences and Technology classroom is located in Sharon Hall 317, while the hardware lab is located in Sharon Hall 316. You can find the IST Office in Sharon Hall 318.
Each of the twenty-one Dell computers located in Sharon Hall 317 has access to the Internet, email and various other applications used in the IST program. A Penn State account is required to log-on for access these computers. Access accounts are available for all students, faculty, and staff of the University and can be obtained through the Shenango campus Registrar's Office in Sharon Hall Room 201.
This lab contains the following software: Windows XP Professional Operating System, Internet Explorer 8.0, Adobe Acrobat 9.1, Office 2007 Enterprise, Microsoft Publisher 2007, Microsoft Visio 2007, Microsoft Expression Web (formerly FrontPage), Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, Minitab 15, Host Explorer, WS_FTP, QuickTime, SSH Client, and Macromedia Studio 8.
The IST hardware lab is located in Sharon Hall 316. This lab is only for students in the IST program. IST students learn how to troubleshoot and repair computers as well as configure and manage a computer network.
