In our nearly 80 year-old auditorium building, Penn State Shenango hosts its annual Cultural and Distinguished Lecture Series, as well as its Greenberger Family Memorial Lecture Series, which has brought numerous renowned speakers to the campus, including Wolf Blitzer (1999),  Robert Kennedy Jr. (2000), Helen Thomas (2001), Ann Compton (2002), Peter Bergen (2003), Nina Totenberg (2006), Seymour Hersh (2007), Ray Suarez (2008), and Lisa Myers (2009).

Auditorium


Penn State Shenango began renovating its auditorium in summer 2008 in order to transform the facility into a more pleasant and conducive venue for Penn State and community events. The entire project will take place in phases, with Phase I being completed in December 2008. Among others things, the first phase of the auditorium renovation added full handicapped accessibility, including new restrooms; a level floor for more versatility; new comfortable seating; upgraded lighting; and technical upgrades. Future phases will focus on infrastructure and esthetic upgrades.
