Chadderton Laboratory is the home of our Engineering department (picture by Allisha Neil).

In August of 1988, Penn State Shenango named its technology laboratory Chadderton Laboratory to honor the memory and accomplishments of the late Edward W. Chadderton, an entrepreneur and businessman who died in 1983. The purchase and refurbishment of the former office building was made possible by a generous donation from Muriel Chadderton, wife of the late Ed Chadderton, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul D. Chadderton, Ed’s brother and sister-in-law. The lab houses the computer-aided design, robotics, and computerized manufacturing CNC equipment, as well as the Haas 3 axis machining center which was donated by the H. M. Willson Trust.
