Andrews Named Assistant to the Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Elaine Andrews was appointed to the position of Assistant to the Chancellor for Academic Affairs. In her new position, Andrews, who is an instructor of English and previously coordinator of the Penn State Shenango Learning Center, hires and oversees part-time faculty, handles day-to-day functions of the Academic Affairs Office, works on student complaints, oversees office staff, and operationalizes the plan for campus faculty. "I'm so happy to serve Penn State Shenango in this new capacity," Andrews stated. "It's such an interesting job—no two days are alike. I also enjoy working closely with faculty and staff. It's gratifying to play a role in our campus's operations, and it's my hope that I can make a positive contribution to this campus."

Tony Paglia
Tony Paglia Hired to Help Students with Disabilities or who need Counseling

In order to provide additional services to its students, Penn State Shenango has hired Tony Paglia as its first, full-time campus counselor/disability contact liaison. As campus counselor, Paglia provides free, short-term confidential mental health counseling services to all Penn State students. His responsbility as disability liaison is to coordinate the academic accommodations for students who have disabilities.

 
Amy Petrucci-Effinite
Petrucci-Effinite Brings Experience to New Position

Amy Petrucci-Effinite joined the Penn State Shenango staff as its new Division of Undergraduate Studies program coordinator in October. Petrucci-Effinite is responsible for providing academic counseling as well as course scheduling to new and returning traditional-aged and adult students. She is also the liaison for several academic departments and serves as an information resource.
